Get to know Qpaws

A short walkthrough for first-time users, and a plain list of what changed for everyone else.

New to Qpaws? Here's the basics.
Your dog, tracking, logging, progress and sharing – the whole idea of the app in one pass.

What's different in this version, what moved, and the one thing you should try: going offline.

The basics

Everything you do with your dogs, in five screens.

1 · Your dog

It starts with your dog. Or dogs.

Each dog gets its own profile with activities, health, care and everyday moments. One dog or a whole kennel — everything you do afterwards is attached to the right one.

[Screen: dog profile — photo, name, breed/age/weight, a couple of stat chips, recent entries]

2 · Track

Walk. Run. Train. Explore.

Record walks, runs, canicross, mushing and more with distance, route, pace and elevation. Already tracking with Garmin or Strava? Import from there instead.

[Screen: activity recording — map with route, activity type, dog attached, distance/time/pace/elevation]

3 · Log

The everyday stuff, in one place.

Weight, food, medication, vaccines, training, and the moments worth remembering. Every entry lands on your dog's timeline, so nothing gets lost in a notes app.

[Screen: timeline with Vaccine, Weight, Food, Training, Deworming entries + "Add entry" button]

4 · Progress

A little every day.

Set a distance goal for you and your dog and see planned against completed, day by day. Consistency shows up in the calendar before it shows up on the trail.

[Screen: weekly progress bar + month calendar with goal met / partly / planned days]

5 · Together

Dogs are a shared effort.

Add a co-owner with full access, or crew for daily care — family, a dog walker, a handler. Everyone logs to the same dog, and you decide who sees and does what.

[Screen: dog in the centre, people around it with name + relation: Mom (Co-owner), Dad (Co-owner), Lina (Dog walker), John (Handler)]

New look. Same dogs, same data.

The app has been rebuilt underneath. It will feel different for the first day and familiar by the second. Here is what actually changed.

Everything you had is still here

Dogs, activities, records, teams (now called groups) are carried over.

Login with the same email and password as you have used before – OR simply log in with your Apple or Google accounts.
If you forgot your password, you'll get a one time code to log in again.

Faster everywhere

Screens open instantly, maps and the feed are snappy. Recording starts the moment you tap.

Works fully offline

Record activities, add log entries and browse your dog's history without coverage. It syncs by itself when you're back online.

Teams are now called groups

Same thing, new name. Make as many as you need – family, kennel, dog walker or sitter, hiking group, neighbourhood, training group. A group can be only dogs, or it can be dogs + people, or it can be only people.
Think of them like group chats: you're in several, each for a different circle, and nobody has to be in all of them.

call them based on what the purpose is with them

Examples
Family group
Kennel group
Race team
Puppy team
Femundløpet team
Finnmarksløpet team
Canicross team

Help by feature

Everything the walkthrough left out.

On purpose. These are introduced inside the app the first time you meet them. If you want the full explanation, it lives here.

Co-owners and crewSharing
The two roles, what each can see and do, and how to invite by name.

GroupsSharing
Set up a club or training group (previously called teams), admin vs member, and how group access relates to dog access.

Import from Garmin and StravaTracking
Connect an account, what gets imported, and why sync is one way.

Offline mapsTracking
Download an area before you go, how much space it takes, and what still works without a map.

TrophiesProgress
How they're earned across activity, health and care — all year, not just in season.
