Track an activity with Qpaws

Track walks, runs, canicross, bikejoring, skijoring, mushing and more directly with Qpaws.

Start tracking

  1. Tap the + button.
  2. Choose Track Activity.
  3. Select your activity type.
  4. Choose the dog or dogs joining the activity.
  5. Add equipment if relevant.
  6. Tap Start.

Qpaws starts recording your route, distance, time, pace/speed and other activity data.

Your most recent selections are remembered, so starting your next activity is even quicker.

During the activity

While tracking, you can:

  • Follow your route and stats live
  • Pause and resume the activity
  • Add photos
  • Keep tracking with your phone locked or Qpaws in the background

Tip: For reliable GPS tracking, make sure Qpaws has the correct location permissions and isn't restricted by your phone's battery-saving settings.

Finish and save

When you're done:

Pause → Finish → Save Activity

Before saving, you can review the activity and add or change details.

Once saved, the activity becomes part of your dog's Timeline and contributes to its activity history, stats, progress and goals.

No GPS needed?

If the activity already happened — or you simply don't want to track it with GPS — choose + → Manual Activity instead.

You can add the activity type, dogs, duration, distance and other details manually.
